How to Set up Working Paper Templates.

How to Set up Working Paper Templates.

Setting Up the Template:
  1. Open your Excel sheet that you would like to create a Working Paper temple from and decide where you want to populate the selected information.

Naming Cells:
  1. You need two cells, one for the start and one for the stop of your information. The start needs to be above the stop.
  2. Rename the first cell to match your sheet name, followed by "_start". For example, if your sheet is named "WP Document", the cell should be named "WP_Document_start".
  3. Similarly, name the second cell as "WP_Document_stop".

Note: Your capilatisation needs to match the cell name and any spaces in the sheet name need to be replaced with an underscore(_)

Using Excel's Name Manager:
  1. Go to the "Formulas" tab and open "Name Manager".
  2. Click "New" to create a new name. If there are any unwanted names, you can delete them.
  3. Enter the name, like "WP_Document_start" or "WP_Document_stop".
  4. In the "Refers to" field, select the relevant cell and click "OK".
And that's it! This sets up your template for use.
