How to Set up Working Paper Templates.
Setting Up the Template:
- Open your Excel sheet that you would like to create a Working Paper temple from and decide where you want to populate the selected information.
Naming Cells:
- You need two cells, one for the start and one for the stop of your information. The start needs to be above the stop.
- Rename the first cell to match your sheet name, followed by "_start". For example, if your sheet is named "WP Document", the cell should be named "WP_Document_start".
- Similarly, name the second cell as "WP_Document_stop".
Note: Your capilatisation needs to match the cell name and any spaces in the sheet name need to be replaced with an underscore(_)
Using Excel's Name Manager:
- Go to the "Formulas" tab and open "Name Manager".
- Click "New" to create a new name. If there are any unwanted names, you can delete them.
- Enter the name, like "WP_Document_start" or "WP_Document_stop".
- In the "Refers to" field, select the relevant cell and click "OK".
And that's it! This sets up your template for use.
